Upcoming Projects
-Pro Street ‘72 Chevy Nova . . . Needs a roll cage tigged in, and a Big Block engine in place of the Small Block 400 . . . to help with my punctuality! I’m thinking maybe a Supercharger too, or else some nitrous. Lots of work to do!
- I want to do a Supercharged “EFI” Big Block for my boat. A turbo LS would certainly be cool, but for this build however, I want to keep it nostalgic. A Blown Big Block in a jet boat is iconic. The carbs do look good, as they set up high, but there’s just something about an injector hat that I LOVE! If the carbs stay, I do plan to convert them to run on E85.
-I dragged this ’68 GMC home with intentions of converting to a short bed, and placing the body on an AWD chassis. The intention for the engine bay is a Turbocharged Big Block Engine, even though a Roots Supercharger would certainly look AWESOME… I’ve got to mix it up a little! I bet you think all I care about is Big Blocks, but don’t worry, I’ve got a special LS in the works also!
The hope with this truck is to break loose AWD at highway speed… Again, to aid in punctuality! Might tow the boat with it also. AWD is nice on a slimy boat ramp!
-I’m thinking of repurposing the 400 Small Block, from the Nova, into my old Napa S-10 parts delivery truck…or shelved, and a turbo LS . . . not sure yet . . . To pretend to deliver parts . . . Faster!
- I’m planning on crafting a Twin Turbo top mount setup for my C6 Grand Sport Corvette. There used to exist a kit for the C5 and I loved it. There are some challenges with fitment, but my Grandfather used to say “The hard stuff is easy; and the Impossible just takes a little longer!” Alternator has to be relocated and so does the ABS motor, as well as a dropped-core radiator and so on; a bit of an undertaking! These turbos are Turbonetics T-Series 72/68’s, and will be more than enough to sniff out weak links in the powertrain! I sat them above the radiator here just for a visual. I’ve already installed a fair sized street cam with a 237/248 @.050 Duration, and .630 Lift; and It does alright, but hey… Turbos are cool, aren’t they!? And I Love to TIG weld, so I’ll be making my own piping!
The other option would be to hide them behind the fenders, though I’m not sure it’s feasible with my car having a dry sump oiling system! And I like the look of them when the hood is open.
